There was a lightning strike – and afterwards my microwave started going odd. When it’s on the plate stands still. when it’s off the plate rotates. So it’s time to take it to the tip. It got me thinking – I bought it from somebody that worked for me – she left two years ago. She’s back in Japan. I looked up her address – Sendai. So I emailed and sent text messages. Eventually I got a reply, with photos. Unbelievable. It brings it home.
Somebody came to the office from Japan. He is normally bouncy and happy. As he spoke about the problems there were tears in his eyes.
I get the feeling we don’t know just how bad it really is.
